Sophia is a sophomore at NYU, studying Econ and Journalism in the Liberal Studies program. Aspiring to study Sustainable Business, she is on track to research and work with the interplay of corporate finance, environmental products and entrepreneurship to promote a flourishing, sustainable economy. In her first semester, Sophia became a Lead Classroom Instructor for NYU's chapter. Greatly inspired by Sprout Up's mission, she cannot wait to work with her team to take great environmental and educational action this year.
Ben is a sophomore at NYU studying mathematics and computer science interested in the intersection of data analytics and sustainability. He joined Sprout Up as an instructor in Fall 2023 and has been the co-Chapter Director since Fall 2024. He cannot wait to help lead his team to deliver sustainability-centered education to kids across the city!
Jonathan is a current junior at NYU and is pursuing a major in Psychology with a minor in Chemistry. He looks forward to working in the mental health field, with a particular interest in psychiatry. His favorite hobbies include practicing taekwondo and singing Broadway songs!
I’m a sophomore psychology and environmental studies major at NYU and have a passion for environmental science education!! I love working with kids, and my experience with sprout up last year was amazing. It felt super rewarding to actually go into schools right in our community to help teach the next generation about the importance of respecting our environment and the reasons why we do so. I’m super stoked for another year of volunteering and feel grateful to now be a part of the e-board to have even more involvement!
Hi everyone, my name is Ting Ting~ After being Sprout Up NYU’s Head Community Manager and Online Activism Coordinator for two years, I’m excited to continue as one of your Recruitment Managers this year! I study Psychology and Economics and am very interested in Teaching, Marketing, and Human Resources. In my free time I enjoy playing badminton, watching Broadway musicals, trying new restaurants, and finding new songs to sing! Very excited for another amazing year with our wonderful Sprouties~
Ria is a junior at NYU majoring in Global Public Health and Anthropology and minoring in business. She joined Sprout Up in her sophomore year and looks forward to teaching the next generation about the importance of preserving the environment and its beauty. She loves nature photography, hiking, and playing games outdoors!
Rebecca is a senior at NYU majoring in Neural Science and minoring in Chemistry and Global Public Health on the pre-med track. She loves connecting children with nature through education and outdoor experiences and spent the past three summers leading hiking/backpacking trips for 4th-9th grade students in New England, Wyoming, and Switzerland. Rebecca has been a Sprout Up member since her first semester at NYU and is excited to build community alongside her Co-Community Managers this year!
