I'm a rising Senior psychology student. I love art and movie nights with friends. I hope to start a new chapter of Sprout Up to UC San Diego and the broader San Diego area. From my experience working with children, I believe it is crucial to teach our new generation of kids about climate change.

Tiffany Yuen is a 2nd year student at UC San Diego studying psychology and behavioral cognitive neuroscience. She believes that environmental awareness is a crucial area of study that should be incorporated in our education systems. Through Sprout Up, she hopes that she can share the love for nature, and raise awareness towards different methods we can all take part in to protect our environment. In her free time, she loves swimming, hiking, and listening to music!

Nishika, a freshman and Biological Anthropology major at UC San Diego, is so excited to join Sprout Up and help inspire a lifelong love for nature in her new community! Nishika is passionate about sustainability and environmental conservation, and believes that environmental education is essential to building a healthier world. She is especially interested in environmental health, and the various relationships between people and their surroundings. Outside of volunteering, Nishika loves hiking and listening to acoustic music.

Shruti Athavan is a third-year Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience Major at UCSD. She believes that planting a seed of knowledge in the younger generations is vital to cultivating a healthier world. She is passionate about making education more accessible to encourage self-empowerment through knowledge. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, and painting!
