Olivia is one of our amazing Co-Presidents this year! She is a fourth year Child Development major, and has been an integral part of our Sprout Up family for the last few years ☺️ Olivia felt instantly drawn to join Sprout Up as “growing up, sustainability was never a big part of my education. I want to make that an accessible part of education for all kids and love to see them grow their passion for the subject!” Olivia also loves to sport her Sprout Up bucket hat wherever/whenever she can!

Nature name: Moon Jelly

Ariann, our Co-President, is a Fourth year Environmental Management and Protection major with a double minor in Spanish and Biology. She loves teaching children about the environment and seeing how they're trying to change the world! Moon Jellies are her favorite kind of jellyfish, and Ariann has a bunny named Cinnabon along with two dogs named Isco and Landy.

Nature name: Willow

Quinn Cotter is our one of our new community outreach coordinators! She is a second year psychology major with a minor in child development. Sprout Up seemed like the perfect fit for Quinn as teaching kids and sustainability are two of her favorite things! She spent a lot of her childhood at the Chicago Botanic Gardens, and willow trees line part of the river hence the nature name! Not to mention Taylor Swift's song "Willow." :)

Hadara, one of our co-community outreach coordinators, is a third year Environmental Management and Protection major with a double minor in Science and Risk Communications and Economics. She joined Sprout Up to connect her passions of environmental science and working with kids. She is ecstatic to inspire the next generation of environmental scientists and see how they can change the world!

Kendall is one of our amazing education liaison for the upcoming year! Her nature name is Lavender and she is a second year communication studies major with a theater minor. Kendall chose the nature name Lavender because of the sentimental value it has from the memories of picking lavender with her grandmother. Sprout Up was a good fit for Kendall because she loves being a part of the process of kids learning about little ways to help our planet. She also loves to wear her Sprout Up bucket hat around campus to help promote the club!

Gavin is our new assistant education liaison and we are so lucky to have him on the board! Gavin, nature name River, is a second year environmental engineering major. His summer job as a white water rafting instructor led him to chose the nature name River. Gavin is passionate about volunteering and teaching sustainability to kids. In his free time, Gavin loves to play beach volleyball!

Gabrielle is our amazing, new materials coordinator! Gabrielle's nature name is Basil and she is a second year liberal studies major! She hopes to make an impact on the younger generation by teaching easy ways to planet and sustainability. She believes it is so important to learn these concepts as a young person! Gabrielle cannot live without strawberry flavored pop tarts!
