Quinn Cotter is our chapter director! She is a fourth year psychology major with a minor in child development. Sprout Up seemed like the perfect fit for Quinn as teaching kids and sustainability are two of her favorite things! She spent a lot of her childhood at the Chicago Botanic Gardens, and willow trees line part of the river hence the nature name! Not to mention Taylor Swift's song "Willow." :)
Alina, our Fundraising Manager, is a fourth year Sociology major. She joined Sprout Up because she loves working with kids. She also thought being a part of Sprout Up could be a good way to reinforces sustainable practices in her own life while being able to educate others. Alina’s dog is named Milo but he also responds to the name Fluffy!
Gavin is our education liaison and we are so lucky to have him on the board! Gavin, nature name River, is a fourth year environmental engineering major. His summer job as a white water rafting instructor led him to chose the nature name River. Gavin is passionate about volunteering and teaching sustainability to kids. In his free time, Gavin loves to play beach volleyball!
My name is Brenna Hayden and I am one of the Education Liaisons for this year! My nature name is Moose and I am a fourth year Environment Management & Protection major. My nature name comes from the nickname I was given while working my summers at Catalina Sea Camp, where my passion of working with children and the outdoors thrives. Sprout Up is an amazing outlet for that passion, I can’t wait to continue getting students excited about the world around them all year long.
